John Banning

John is a Director and Co-Founder of Business Agility. He is a resource executive focused on outcomes and excellence through the development of high-performance teams with a culture of resilience and integrity. 

 

John is a dynamic leader characterised by a strong corporate mining background with experience that ranges from designing and implementing business strategy and securing investment funding, through to project valuation and feasibility studies, business and operational performance improvement and construction.
 
John has held executive roles including Managing Director and Executive Director of ASX listed mining companies and has over 20 years’ experience in the mining and construction industries.

 

John has worked with Newcrest, Rio Tinto, Consolidated Tin Mines, Kagara Limited, Xstrata Copper, Metals X, BHP Billiton, Goldfields, Stillwater Mining Company, Kiewit Construction and others covering the commodities of Gold, Silver, Platinum Group Metals, Copper, Zinc, Lead, Uranium, Tin and Iron Ore.

 

John possesses a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering; is a certified Six Sigma Yellow Belt; is a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

John has extensive experience creating Management Operating Systems (MOS) for mine performance improvement and conducting financial modelling to drive optimal mine performance through the implementation of new mining systems and processes.​
